Troubleshooting
Common issues and how to fix them — wallet connection, transactions, deposits, and more.
Wallet Connection Issues
MetaMask / Coinbase Wallet not detected
- Make sure your wallet extension is installed and enabled in your browser.
- Try refreshing the page (Ctrl+F5).
- If using multiple wallet extensions, disable all except the one you want to use.
- Supported browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge.
Wrong network / Chain ID error
OddsForge operates on BNB Smart Chain (Chain ID 56). If you see a network error:
- Open MetaMask and click the network dropdown at the top.
- Select "BNB Smart Chain" (or "BSC Mainnet").
- If BSC isn't listed, add it manually:
Setting Value Network Name BNB Smart Chain RPC URL https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/Chain ID 56Symbol BNB Block Explorer https://bscscan.com - Refresh the OddsForge page after switching networks.
💡
Auto-switch: OddsForge will attempt to automatically switch your wallet to BSC when you connect. If the auto-switch popup appears, click "Switch Network."
Wallet locked / not responding
- Open MetaMask and unlock it with your password.
- If it's still unresponsive, try restarting your browser.
- As a last resort, disable and re-enable the MetaMask extension.
Transaction Issues
Transaction failed / reverted
Common causes:
- Insufficient BNB for gas — You need BNB to pay gas fees (~$0.05 per transaction). Check your BNB balance.
- USDC approval not set — Before depositing for the first time, you must approve the OddsForge contract to spend your USDC. The platform will prompt you for this automatically.
- Insufficient USDC balance — Make sure you have enough USDC in your wallet for the deposit/trade amount.
- Market already resolved — You cannot place trades on markets that have already ended.
- Nonce error — If transactions are stuck, try resetting your MetaMask nonce: Settings → Advanced → Reset Account.
Transaction stuck / pending
- Check BscScan to see if the transaction is pending or dropped.
- If pending for more than 1 minute, try speeding it up in MetaMask (click the pending tx → "Speed Up").
- If it's dropped, simply retry the transaction.
- BSC rarely has congestion — most transactions confirm in 3-5 seconds.
Transaction confirmed but not reflected on OddsForge
- Refresh the page — the UI may need to re-fetch your balance.
- Wait a few seconds — the backend polls the blockchain periodically to sync balances.
- Verify the transaction was successful on BscScan.
Deposit Issues
USDC not showing in MetaMask
You may need to add the USDC token to MetaMask manually:
- Open MetaMask on BSC network.
- Click "Import tokens".
- Paste the USDC contract address:
0x8AC76a51cc950d9822D68b83fE1Ad97B32Cd580d - Symbol and decimals should auto-fill (USDC, 18).
- Click "Add Custom Token".
Deposit not credited to OddsForge account
- Check that your deposit transaction was confirmed on BscScan.
- Make sure you deposited USDC on BSC (not USDT, BUSD, or USDC on another chain).
- Make sure you sent it to the correct contract address — always use the deposit button on the platform, not a manual transfer.
- Refresh the page and wait 10-15 seconds for sync.
⚠️
Never send tokens directly to the contract address. Always use the OddsForge website deposit function to ensure your deposit is properly tracked.
Withdrawal Issues
Withdraw button is disabled
- Your available balance may be 0. Check if your funds are locked in active trades.
- Funds in active (unresolved) markets cannot be withdrawn until the market resolves.
Withdrawal transaction failed
- Ensure you have BNB for gas (~$0.05).
- Try withdrawing a smaller amount.
- Check BscScan for the specific error message.
Trading Issues
Trade rejected / "Market not active"
- The market may have been resolved or cancelled while you were placing the trade.
- Check the market page — if it shows "Resolved" or "Cancelled," you can no longer trade.
Insufficient balance error
- You need both USDC in your OddsForge account (for the trade) and BNB in your wallet (for gas).
- Your available balance may be lower than expected if funds are locked in other active trades.
Still Need Help?
If your issue isn't listed above:
- Check BscScan — search your wallet address at bscscan.com to see all transactions.
- Clear browser cache — sometimes stale data causes display issues.
- Try a different browser — rule out browser-specific extension conflicts.
- Contact support — reach out via the platform's contact channels with your wallet address and transaction hash.
