Platform Fee (5%)

The 5% platform fee (500 basis points) is the core revenue model of OddsForge. Here's exactly how it works:

When Is It Charged?

The fee is only charged at market resolution — the moment a market is officially resolved as YES or NO. It is never charged upfront.

How Is It Calculated?

The fee is deducted from the losing pool before distributing winnings:

Market resolves → winning side determined
Fee = Losing Pool × 5%
Prize Pool = Losing Pool × 95% (distributed to winners)
Winners receive: their original trade amount + proportional share of the prize pool

Worked Example

Winners always profit: The fee is taken from the losers, not the winners. If you win, you always get at least your original trade amount back (plus your share of the prize pool).

Gas Fees (BNB)

Every on-chain action requires a small gas fee paid in BNB to BSC validators. These are not charged by OddsForge — they're inherent to blockchain transactions.

Gas costs on BSC are extremely low compared to Ethereum. A full trading cycle (deposit → trade → withdraw) costs roughly $0.15 in total gas.

Get BNB: You need a small amount of BNB for gas. You can buy BNB on exchanges like Binance, or bridge from other chains.

No Hidden Fees

OddsForge does NOT charge any of the following:

❌ Deposit fees
❌ Withdrawal fees
❌ Trade placement fees
❌ Inactivity fees
❌ Spread or slippage charges

Cancelled Markets

If a market is cancelled before resolution:

No fee is charged — the 5% fee only applies at resolution.
All traders receive a 100% refund of their original trade amount.
